Industrial Designer

Chef’n Corporation is currently seeking an Industrial Designer.

Responsibilities:

• Design & develop products from start to finish in an independent as well as team environment
• Market research, material research, and ideation for immediate and future projects
• Work within a specified timeline to achieve the stated deadlines
• Work with management and review boards to accurately present and modify designs to achieve the desired end product
• Multiple trips to Asia (2-5 per year) to work with the manufacturers ensuring the best solutions to problems and ensuring accurate reproduction and execution of our designs
• Openly communicate problems and solutions to the parties involved while working with the team to solve them

Ideal Attributes and Experience:

• Can-do, innovative attitude
• Tenacious in the pursuit of a goal
• Three to five years experience in industrial design
• Experience with Rapid Prototyping
• Demonstrated ability to build complex mechanical prototypes, make molds
• Experience in designing interactive, complex consumer products
• Proficiency in 3-D modeling with Solidworks
• Demonstrated understanding of materials and their application as they relate to manufacturing and costs
• Experience with researching, testing and developing ideas based on a given area of focus and executing them into relevant presentations and eventually products
• Ability work with a tight knit group and contribute ideas on all projects
• Flexibility to juggle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast paced environment
• High degree of attention to detail and organization
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Minimum two year Industrial Design or related degree required, four year preferred
