Ice Cream with Fresh Easy Sauces


Easy Caramel Sauce:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 3 ½ tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon gray sea salt, crushed or kosher salt

Hot Fudge Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2/3 milk chocolate chips
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 (12oz) can evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Easy Caramel Sauce:

  1. In a saucepan, combine the sugar and water over medium-low heat until sugar dissolves
  2. Bring to a boil, without stirring. Boil until syrup is a deep amber color, 5 to 6 minutes
  3. Remove sugar from the heat, carefully whisk in the heavy cream
  4. Stir in unsalted butter and salt
  5. Transfer the caramel to a dish and cool
  6. Serve and enjoy!

Hot Fudge:

  1. In a medium sauce pan combine butter, cocoa powder, chocolate chips, sugar and evaporated milk. Stir to combine over medium-low heat
  2. Increase heat to medium-high and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to low to keep simmering for 7 minutes (stir occasionally)
  3. Remove from heat, add vanilla and heavy cream
  4. Pour the mixture into a blender and blend the mixture for 2 minutes
  5. Serve immediately or pour into a heat safe container to enjoy!
