Pro model works like the original but has a few design differences that hopefully enhances durability.
"This is my 3rd Pepper Ball. The first one was the original design, which eventually got dropped in liquid and I decided to replace it. The second one was the improved model with the screw-off handle where you add pepper. This one worked well for years until the handle recently broke. Now they have the "pro" model which has a ceramic grinder instead of stainless steel (seems to be the new method - hopefully the ceramic will not have pieces crack off), but also has a fixed-position handle that does not screw off. I hope this new design means the handle will last longer without breaking. Other than that, it works as well as the previous Pepper Balls."
